Just A Tootsie is a granddaughter of 1962 ApHC Hall of Fame stallion Little Navajo Joe.
Little Navajo Joe started his show career as a 2-year-old, prior to the national points system. He collected wins in halter, western pleasure, reining and horsemanship.
In 1965, he earned the reserve high-point performance horse title behind renowned stallion Tem Pop. Little Navajo Joe made one official race start, winning the 350-yard sprint and collecting a lifetime total of $50. The Greater Eastern Appaloosa Regional (GEAR) named Little Navajo Joe Premier Sire No. 3 in 1969 and Supreme Performance Sire No. 2 in 1974.
He produced 145 registered foals during his lifetime. His offspring excelled in many events, including English, western and cattle classes. They also became strong youth and non-pro competitors. Of his foals that showed after the inception of the national points system, 31 earned 816 performance points and 14 earned 82 halter points. They collected 82 registers of merit, one Club championship, one versatility championship and three bronze medallions.
His most-point-earning foals included Broadway Joe I (out of Gingers Rain Drops) and Joe’s Bright Star (out of Patchy Glow).

Just a Tootsies also brings another fantastic line to Johnny. She is line breed Red Plaudit the sire of 1963 ApHC Hall of Fame stallion Prince Plaudit. Foaled on May 30, 1963, Prince Plaudit was the result of a cross between the red leopard stallion Red Plaudit (out of another red leopard, Juaquin F-801) and the Quarter Horse mare Princess Rita.
Prince Plaudit, too, was a red leopard, and wore a small, near-perfect heart shaped spot on his left hip. He had the kind of conformation and gentle, trainable temperament his breeder, Hank Wiescamp, always strived for. Hank Wiescamp, of Alamosa, Colorado, bred Appaloosas for some 27 years. His influence reaches deep into the breed's roots and far into its future. The depth of consistent quality Wiescamp is known for from before Price Plaudit to today is legendary.
