We are proud to offer the opportunity to breed to our young up and coming stallion Sky Hi Cowboy! We are looking forward to his first breeding season. He has grown up to be an outstanding stallion, standing 15.2 hh, showing great muscle formation, lovely movement, his sire's outstanding disposition not to mention that he will produce color or characteristics on EVERY mare!
With Sky Hi Cowboy... "The Sky's the Limit!!"
Our journey with Timmy started even before he was born.....
When we finally found and purchased our perfect first Stallion, Hi Tech Cowboy in 2005, we were so very excited that we simply couldn't wait a full breeding cycle to have his foals on our farm. We started researching the mares bred to him for 2006 foals, and we came across Vanilla Sky, a big lovely fewspot leopard mare bred for an early 2006 Hi Tech foal. We decided this cross was going to produce a big, loud colored foal, so we purchased Sky and she made the long trip to Ohio like a trouper. Then there we were, waiting for our first Hi Tech foal to finish baking!
BOY.... were we RIGHT! When Sky foaled out in early 2006, we couldn't have been more pleased ...there looking at us, was this lovely, black and white fewspot colt! Wow, what a show stopper he was going to be! High contrast, hugh hip, long legs, and an adorable little head.

Soon after, we had cause for panic, here was our lovely new baby boy, and Sky had NO interest in being a Mom. We tried everything to encourage her "natural instinct" to be a mother, but with no success, so quickly, we had to face making other choices, or loose Timmy.
Since we could not locate a foster Mom, Timmy became a bucket baby. Amy and I spent considerable time over the next several weeks, playing "Mom" to our new boy, needless to say, as attached as we are to all our "kids" , Timmy was even closer to our hearts.
As you can see from this photo, at 7 weeks, Timmy thrived and showed very early what a beautiful stud he was going to be.
With Timmy growing out so well, we made the decision to to start his show career.
With limited time, he started his training, learning to stand quickly and quietly. Finally, after a clipping, a banding job and all the other primping that goes along with with it, he made his show ring debut as a 4 month old .... at the 2006 ApHC National Show in Oklahoma City!
In the end, Timmy stood Top 10 in both Open and Non-Pro Weanling Stallions. We couldn't have been prouder of our boy!
We continued to show Timmy through out the rest of the year bringing home High Point awards in multiple local clubs and ApHC National Top 5 honors in FPD Stallions.
During 2007, we made a change in our showing, choosing to strike out on our own, showing only a limited number of times due to the high demand on our time during breeding season with Hi Tech. Still at years end, Timmy was again in the ApHC Top 10 in FPD Stallions.

At the start of 2008, we enrolled Timmy in school... Ohio State University Equine program. He became a project horse, and was broke to ride, getting rave reviews through the whole program. After he returned home, we had yet another busy breeding season for Hi Tech, so we again didn't do any showing early in the year only picking up a few shows during the last part of the summer. He ended the year being ApHC Top 3 in FPD Stallions.
In 2009, we decided to take Timmy to Nationals! What an exciting time that was. Timmy placed in the Top 5 in both NP and Open 3yr old Stallions, but FPD was our most looked forward to class...and he didn't disappoint...taking the Reserve National Championship!! Amazing to see his weanling win photo next to his FPD win photo!
